I’m not sure why, but I’ve got almost no Easter decorations. I have an Easter box in storage, but it only holds the kids’ special Easter baskets and some refillable plastic Easter eggs.

Oh, and there’s a sad little Easter wreath that I almost always forget to hang on the door.  And I LOVE wreaths!?!

I love Easter, too.  But for reasons I can’t explain I’ve been pretty Bun-Humbug (🙄). I need some Easter decor crafts!

My Easter box is more about frugal than fancy.

I think being so focused on paying off our debt lead me to cut back in all the non-essentials.  Even though I enjoy decorating and crafting!

It makes no sense when it’s as affordable as a trip to the dollar store plus some creativity.  (Years ago I had so much fun when I challenged myself to create a menu planning board from just dollar store supplies.  It turned out great and over 4 thousand of people have pinned it! I love that sort of challenge!)

This is the year my lack of Easter decor changes!

I’ve got a great list here of over 20 super affordable and elegant Easter dollar store crafts.  I’m planning for a Crafternoon with a good friend (or more!).

I also have a crafty daughter (who you’ve met through her terrific baking recipes here) who would love to spend time creating with me.

I’m going to share this list with them and we can choose some Easter decor crafts to do together.

Great challenge! I am in the same boat for Easter decor. But I sway towards natural decor, pumpkins for fall and greens for winter/Xmas. For spring, a pot of daffodils on my kitchen island and on my entry table, a hyacinth and a tall vase of pussy willows- they always make me think of spring; the dry branches store well, if you're careful not to knock the little pussytoes off. (frugal tip- plant potted bulbs in the garden once it's warm) I hang a grey yarn wreath that I can change up seasonally, felt hearts for valentines, teal, mint & blue eggs for Easter and classic argyle diamonds for year round.Another rotational display I love is my small gallery wall- 2 picture rails with 8 frames (mixed black & white, various sizes). I have three 11x14 black white photos of my kids that stay up and the remaining 5, I change out seasonally. My friend has taken many lovely, artsy photos that I change up; a closeup of a chickadee she'd taken on our forest walk, a bevy of pumpkins at the muddy feet of our kids after harvesting at the farm, etc. And some images I've printed for different occasions, a reindeer in the snow, North from Rise of the Guardians, vintage illustration of bird eggs, and such. I suggest the frames with screw tabs on the back rather than bendable metal tabs- mine have broken off as they're not intended to be repeatedly bent.I definitely lean to decor that can be changed out to save storing it off season- my display photos can be kept neatly in one file folder and my yarn wreath accents fit in a small ziploc.Last year, I grew small vases of Easter grass using cat grass seeds, very pretty- timing can be a little tricky, though. And this year I want to make a Swedish Easter tree with feathers. Thanks for the list of fresh ideas- I look forward to seeing what your challenge inspires
