Thousands of people have made our Best Brownies Ever in a Jar recipe, but you know what I have never shared here? 

How to make just one pan of these perfect, fudgey brownies! 

This is a major fail on my part, because there really is no other brownie recipe you'll ever need. In fact, once I fiddled and got this easy brownie recipe just right, I've never made another brownie and I expect I never will!

I made these brownies last week to take to a family reunion that I was incredibly nervous about.  There's something calming for me about baking and mixing up a big pan of these went a long way to ease my nerves.  I always feel less anxious when I arrive with a dish I know will be a hit.

Oh my, I can't exaggerate, these brownies truly are the best ever.  

They're nut-free - which is a wise consideration to make when making something for schools or gatherings. But they still have the little tender crunch like nuts - supplied by the white chocolate chips.

You can double the recipe for larger groups - I've made them in a 9X13 pan. Just be sure to cook them longer - 30 to 35 minutes should do.

A toothpick won't come out clean when you test it - if it does they'll be too dry. But your toothpick shouldn't be too slimey either - that would mean they're way too undercooked (a pan of lava).  A perfect pan is a bit crunchy on the outside edges - some people love that part best - and only slightly springy in the middle.

2/3 tsp             salt
1 1/8 cup        flour
1/3 cup            cocoa powder
2/3 cup            brown sugar
2/3 cup            sugar
½ cup                chocolate chips
½ cup                white chocolate chips
2/3 cup            vegetable oil
1 tsp                  vanilla
3                          eggs


1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.   Grease one 9X9 pan.
2.  Pour the contents of the jar into a large bowl and mix well.
3.  In a large measuring cup pour in vegetable oil.  Add vanilla. Add eggs and mix well.  
4. Add wet mixture to flour mixture. Stir until well mixed.  Pour the batter into the pan. 
5.  Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.

  2. Just made them with only chocolate chips (what I had on hand) and while they are still baking, I can say that the batter is the BEST. BROWNIE. BATTER. EVER.
    (We kept opening the oven when they first went in to scoop out more!)
