Unique & Yummy Mummy Halloween Seven Layer Dip
This adorable Halloween Seven Layer Dip is made in a skull-shaped cake pan with loads of veggies, creamy elements, and the cutest tortilla strip detail on top. It’s a yummy mummy – and it gets spookier as people dig into it! You can customize it to your favourite tastes if preferred, and serve it up with extra chips and veggies for dipping. This delightfully spooky layer dip will be the talk of your next Halloween party!

Spooky Layer Dip Recipe Notes:
- You can make this in advance, but I don’t recommend doing so more than 3-4 hours before your event, in order to keep the lettuce fresh.
- Want to add more layers or flavours? Consider adding any of these to the mix: cooked/cooled ground beef or chopped chicken seasoned with taco seasoning, avocado or guacamole, tomato or tomatillo salsa, queso/cheese dip, or cooked rice.
- Additional garnish ideas: sliced black olives, sliced jalapeños, or diced red onion.
- You could also mix taco seasoning into the sour cream. Or use cottage cheese and replace the sour cream layer if preferred.
- When covered tightly, this dip will last a day or two in the fridge. Again, the lettuce may wilt or become soggy after some time in the fridge, so keep that in mind.
- Other serving/scooper ideas – celery sticks, carrot sticks, Frito’s Scoops brand chips, pretzels/Pretzel Thins, bagel chips, pita chips, crackers, sliced bell pepper, sliced mini sweet peppers, or even endive
- You could totally do this with other shapes of cake pans too – if you can get your hands on a black cat, witch, ghost, or even gingerbread man-shaped pan, those would all make adorable mummies too!
