Simple yet Decadent Pumpkin Cream Cheese French Toast Casserole ~ with Chocolate!
This delightful and decadent Pumpkin Cream Cheese French Toast Casserole is an irresistible Holiday breakfast to remember. It’s a make ahead dish that combines the warm flavors of pumpkin spice and cream cheese with the indulgent richness of chocolate, creating a Christmas or Thanksgiving breakfast treat that is sure to impress your guests.

Pumpkin Cream Cheese French Toast Casserole
Yields: 8 servings
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 40-45 minutes
Ingredients:

- 1 loaf of brioche bread
- 8 oz cream cheese, cut into small cubes
- butter to grease the pan
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup pure pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1⁄2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips
- Finishing Touches: Powdered sugar, maple syrup, whipped cream and extra cinnamon for dusting
Instructions:




Dot with half of the cream cheese cubes and chocolate chips.

Repeat the layering with the remaining bread, cream cheese, and chocolate chips, and pour the remaining pumpkin egg mixture over the top.
Gently press down the bread to help it absorb the mixture.

This allows the bread to soak in the pumpkin mixture for a rich flavour.

Bake the French toast casserole uncovered for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden and set in the middle.


Drizzle maple syrup if you’d like extra sweetness.

- Grease a baking dish with butter. Add half of the cubed bread to the dish. Dot with half of thecream cheese cubes and chocolate chips. Pour half of the pumpkin egg mixture over this layer.

- Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or, better yet, overnight. This allows the bread to soak in the pumpkin mixture for a rich flavour.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the French toast casserole uncovered for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden and set in the middle.
- Finishing Touches: Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with powdered sugar.Drizzle maple syrup if you’d like extra sweetness.
